Metal work was always been a large part of our company from the very beginning. Many of the older skylights you see on a house may have been fabricated by our company. There were no skylight manufacturers in the 20’s and 30’s or more. All of those 2’x3’ skylights found on homes built in the last 130 years were fabricated in metal shops like ours. The same was also true for larger skylights, using wire glass. We have just recently started replacing the large skylights at our shop that were over 90 years old.
In the 80’s and 90’s we fabricated and installed a large number of copper standing seam roofs in Rhode Island. The first train station building restoration in Providence was re roofed by our company with a copper standing seam roof.
A few blocks away, 10 years later, we installed a sealant filled flat locked barrel vaulted copper roof at the Rhode Island School of Design Museum Addition.
Over the years we have done miles of copper gutter lining. Today we continue to fabricate and install copper flashing for slate, wood shingle and asphalt shingle roofs as well as copper gutter work. Request a Quote from Newport Construction Services for Metal Work.
